- A guy who built a maze of houses for mice to live in including two families: the ‘bramble’ family and the ‘honeysuckle’ family of mice

- Overhearing a woman in front of me at grocery outlet announce her birthday which was one day after mine and thus I told her so and she said ‘go pisces!’

- Listening to ellen langer talk about joy and how to cultivate it which can be either 1) getting better at noticing new things by exploring or 2) learning to see what’s ‘old’ with new eyes and finding the good

- Realizing that a little anger can go a long way to getting my butt in gear and getting back to creating

- Getting inspired by people who do things that I want to do better like putting more on my plate without putting too much on my plate like a juggler tossing up a bowling pin, kitchen knife, torch, and a banana.

- Remembering that whenever I think I don’t have it in me to ‘break the ice’ with someone and cross that threshold that keeps everyone in their own bubble, that’s the perfect time to say whatever dumb, awkward, silly thought pops into my head like when I told this stranger I liked her red converse high tops and she told me she liked my red coat…
